Galaxy Con

Everyone wants to share experiences with people like themselves; people with common interests and passions. For this reason, events like GalaxyCon Richmond are treasured and well-attended when they travel through the area! March 18th through 20th, GalaxyCon united tens of thousands of passionate fans under one roof to celebrate the power of fandom, particularly in the realms of pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, cosplay, and- you guessed it- gaming! Over 50,000 people flocked to join in the three-day celebration, made up of celebrities, artists, writers, voice actors, cosplayers, entertainers, creators, wrestlers, fan groups, panelists, and regular fans alike!

Particularly exciting about the event was Unified Esports Association, which hosted competitive rounds of other 13 Esports titles over the three-day span. Friday and Saturday, Unified Esports Association provided entertainment for over a thousand gamers from 2:00 in the afternoon to well after midnight, with Sunday starting even earlier and going even later! What fun is a gaming-oriented convention without the opportunity to show off your own skills? OG Evo Media’s Johnny Ryan Weaver, aka Icychiller, along with La Quinn Thompson and Earl Crease, dedicated his own time and effort to keep the event running smoothly and efficiently. Looking back on the fantastic convention, OG Evo Media definitely counts it as a success. See you next year, GalaxyCon.
